Welcome to Northern Classic Outfitters. We are a true full service outfitter. The owner is not only a Registered Maine Guide, but also a licensed butcher and taxidermist. We can even make custom clothing from your trophy. Along with Steve's sons and staff, we have been in business for 15 years. Our facilities are all new including a butcher/taxidermy shop with a walk in cooler which is necessary to properly age your meat for that custom cut or the fresh home made sausage. Between bear, moose and deer we made over a thousand pounds of the sausage last year! Ya, its that good! Just ask our customers. Our shop is proud to work with "Hunters For The Hungry" which is an organization that provides gifted wild game meat to families in need. We would be happy to make that arrangement for you if you wish. Sportsmen gifted over four hundred pounds of meat and sausage last year alone through us. The advantage of being a one stop shop is that the butcher is also a professional taxidermist. When Steve was a child he loved the thought of having his trophys mounted but because of the price of quality taxidermy he could only afford a few basic small animals and antler mounts. Now that he is a taxidermist he wants his clients to have their trophys mounted the way they want at reasonable cost. We are also willing to arrange an affordable payment plan that any sportsman can handle. This means not just settling for just any mount but your dream mount because as the years go by the memories are all we have. We have many mounts for sale and will take orders for any other mounts you're looking for. We truly believe hunting, fishing and the outdoor experience is something we need to pass down to our children, so for a reasonable lodging and meals fee, bring your child with you. For children under the age of 16, who are accompaning a paying/hunting adult, we are happy to have them hunt and fish with no additional guide fee. Give us a call and we'll create an experience they can share with mom or dad that they will talk about for years. If hunting or taxidermy in not quite what you're looking for, how about a custom leather jacket, or for the ladies, a fur coat or hat. Our prices are much lower than the retail stores. You might ask why that is. It is because the skins are ours and we also hold a hide dealers and a vendors license. So now you can see what I mean by a true full service outfitter.
